Welcome – our names are Maureen and Bob, and we are excited to share the next chapter of our life with you. Bob retired in 2020 and we decided we wanted to travel and see the world, one adventure at a time!
OUR STORY
Bob worked in IT for 40 plus years, and Maureen worked in IT for 10 years before leaving the work force after her third child was born. We added one more little angel in 1995. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, we made our way to Houston, Texas in 1980 during the oil boom and never left. We raised 4 children who are successful adults and have 3 awesome grandsons. Now that we are empty nesters, time to travel!
We lived in Sugar Land, Texas for over 35 years and traveled in the US for most vacations. We were expats in Atyrau, Kazakhstan for 5 years from 2015-2020. This experience led us to the wonderful world of international travel, and we haven’t looked back since. We have always enjoyed traveling with our children, now we had a chance to do it more often being retired.
Our adventures have taken us to many countries and exciting new places. We have learned how to navigate through cities without speaking their native language, what to pack and what not to pack, how to schedule your flights so the connection is not so tight etc.
